I have always been enamored with space, astronomy, and the night sky and possibility of what lies beyond. Such distant and faint subjects pose obvious obstacles when trying to capture them with digital photography, and is an area I have always found both challenging and rewarding. About two weeks ago I had to be up for a sunrise shoot, and figured I might as well stay up and try to capture some of the annual Perseids meteor shower so I drove a little bit out of the city to get away from the lights. The results were not as compelling as I would have hoped, but there is always room for progress to be made. The third image was taken out in Heathsville, VA on the Wicomoco river a few weeks back.
