Perennial tournament contender Marquette travelled to Richmond to take on their bourgeoning program on a chilly Saturday last weekend. Richmond seemingly dominated time of possession throughout, but Marquette’s stout defense shut out the Spiders in the first half. Two early penalties by Richmond lead the way for a quick 2-0 lead for the Golden Eagles, and it piled on from there. Richmond’s only two goals came off of man-up opportunities in the second half, and they fell to Marquette 2-7. I had the chance to play with the infrared camera a little bit, and just now got to process the rest of the images after recovering a corrupt card.
