Last month I drove down to North Carolina to shoot the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway for Nigel Kinrade Photography. This was my first time shooting at Charlotte, and the last remaining race of NASCAR’s four “crown jewels” I had yet to photograph. Martin Truex Jr. was finally able to turn his luck around on Memorial Day weekend and notch his first win of the 2016 season, and in dominating fashion no less. He led 392 of 400 laps, 588 of 600 miles- both new records in the sport.
