I’m two races into my NASCAR schedule for the 2018 season and have seen both the east and west coast. Daytona was great, it  was my first time back at a track since having toe surgery, and the crew also took full advantage of my recent brown recluse bite fiasco.

This was also my first trip to Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California. The area is very industrial, with the track sandwiched between a steel mill and picturesque mountains. In fact, the steel mill was the filming location for Terminator 2: Judgement Day’s final scene. The weather wasn’t nearly as warm as I was hoping for in Southern California, but all in all it was a good trip.
