Brickyard 400 in Indy for NKP
The weekend that was had me at the fabled Indianapolis Motor Speedway working for Nigel Kinrade Photography. I had taken several road trips with family and friends in my high school years to the Brickyard, but this was my first trip on the other side of the fence. With heat indexes upwards of 110 degrees most of the days, it’s also the hottest race I can remember. Almost as hot as Kyle Busch. He swept both races here last year, and did the same again this weekend. Not only that, but he is also the first driver to ever make a weekend sweep of both poles and races, which is incredibly impressive. His dominance somewhat overshadowed Gordon’s return from retirement and Smoke’s salute to his hometown track.
