Feature for Lacrosse Magazine
Last month I was contacted to photograph a feature story for Lacrosse Magazine about Hampton University’s men’s lacrosse program. Having played the sport for seven years, I jump at every opportunity to shoot something lacrosse related. The significance in the Hampton Pirates taking to the turf this year lies in the fact that they are the first historically black college/university to field an NCAA Division I team since 1981. Even more serendipitous, their head coach, Lloyd Carter, was a member of the last HBCU Division I program at Morgan State some 34 years ago. I was able to spend an evening practice with Coach Carter and group of great guys, and the magazine chose to run the story on the cover of their November issue. You can read the excellent write-up here, and I put together a small gallery below.
